Spring Meeting Overview
I wish everyone could have made the spring meeting and pig picking. I think everyone enjoyed it and the music that followed. To everyone that could not make it, I would like to thank you for making this such a great campground.
New things for this year are the bathrooms at the waterfront, the Wildlife Landing, and the obvious clean up of the waterfront café and stores. I would like to ask everyone to please help us maintain the bathrooms at the waterfront. Our hope is to leave them open, but that will be determined on how they are maintained. The state has purchased the old tackle shop and land across the street. The boat ramp and parking is now free to all. Paradise Landing and the restaurant are under new ownership and management. I think you will notice the huge improvements in the facilities there. The Turtle Factory is going to be offering summer craft classes for kids and adults; we will keep the schedule posted at the arcade/office.
We are going to have DJ and karaoke once a month. The dates are as follows:
June 5th
July 3rd
August 14th
September 4th
The time will be from 7pm until 11pm. Please be sure to tip Tom so we can continue this event. Our fall pig picking will be October 16th and it will also be the last evening of DJ and karaoke for the season.
Please be sure to review your rules and regulations. We are still having some issues with pets on leashes and cleaning up the grounds after they use the bathroom. Everyone also needs to remember quiet time is from 11pm to 6 am. Everyone that has a golf cart must sign a waiver. All campers need to put 2’’ or larger letters and numbers on their campers with their space number.
